Oral Care
Toothpaste and mouthwash for smooth cooling with less bitterness than menthol at comparable refresh.

Cooling Agent WS-3 (N-Ethyl-p-menthane-3-carboxamide) is a synthetic coolant supplied as white crystal powder at ≥99%, CAS 39711-79-0 on the supplier sheet.
WS-3 targets TRPM8 receptors with a subtle menthol character and cooling felt toward the back of the mouth and throat—stronger than menthol on supplier potency claims but not the same as WS-23’s low-odor profile. Do not swap WS-3 for WS-23 or WS-5 on the same ppm line without retesting.
Supplier literature positions WS-3 for gum, candy, oral care and beverages where duration matters; solubility in ethanol/glycol phases should match your process water.
