Foaming Beverages
Saponins foam. That can be the function, or a defect, depending on the drink.

Yucca extract is standardized to saponins, about 10–80%, or to yucconin around 40% or 60%, from the stalk or root.
In foods it is a foaming and flavour aid. In supplements it shows up in capsules aimed at cholesterol-style formulas. The feed-grade deodorizer and the food-grade saponin are not the same paperwork.
When buying, set the saponin percent and the grade: food, supplement, or feed.
