Product Description
Maca extract comes from the tuber of Lepidium meyenii, grown in the Andes. Commercial powders are often gelatinized or extracted for macamides and macaenes rather than sold as raw flour.
It is used in men’s and women’s wellness capsules and in drink mixes. The tuber colour (yellow, red, black) is a separate spec from the extract ratio.
When buying, say gelatinized or raw, the colour, and whether you need a macamide assay or only a ratio.
