Relaxation Capsules
Measured kavalactone doses in capsules. Confirm the destination market before you print a claim.

Kava extract comes from the root of Piper methysticum. The marker buyers standardize is the kavalactone fraction, not a generic root powder.
It is used in measured capsules and tablets positioned around relaxation. It is a poor fit for ordinary foods and drinks: FDA has said concentrated kava is not GRAS for conventional food, and liver-injury reports are tied to commercial extracts.
When buying, lock the kavalactone assay (30/50/70%), the plant part (root, not stem peelings) and the solvent. Ask whether the lot is aqueous or organic extract before you put it in a formula.

Fine yellow powder for compression. Check flow and the assay on the COA, not the label range alone.

Water extracts of noble root are a different material from solvent concentrates. Do not assume they share a regulatory status.

Glycerite and alcohol extracts are a third form. Do not assume they match a 70% powder assay.

Aqueous and organic extracts concentrate kavalactones differently. The solvent belongs on the lot record.

Often paired with other calming botanicals. The kavalactone dose still has to be calculated on this extract alone.
