Airway Capsules
Use the saponin percent when the label states one.

Ivy leaf extract from Hedera helix is used for cough and airway-comfort products. Markers are hederacoside C and hederagenin, with ratio extracts (5:1, 10:1, 20:1) and a grade around 10% of those saponins.
The leaf saponins are the pharmacopoeial story. English ivy ornamental cuttings are not a substitute, and the extract is not a cosmetic film-former just because the plant climbs.
When buying, specify hederacoside C or the ratio, and the leaf. Confirm the market allows the respiratory positioning you want.

Bitter. Ratio extracts need a stated strength so the dose does not drift.

Hederacoside C and hederagenin are the names to match. “Ivy saponins” is too vague.

Bitter leaf saponins. The ratio has to be stated or the dose drifts between lots.

Hederacoside C is the name to match. “Ivy saponins” is too vague for a label.

Syrup bases often start from a liquid extract. Convert the ratio before you copy a powder dose.
