Ginsenoside Capsules
10% and 80% change both cost and fill. Species goes on the label.

Ginseng extract is standardized to ginsenosides, commonly from 10% to 80%, from the root. Asian ginseng (Panax ginseng) and American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) are different species with different ginsenoside patterns.
Root powder with no assay is also sold. It is a food ingredient, not an 80% extract. Capsules, tablets and shots all exist; the species has to be the one on the label.
When buying, name the species, the ginsenoside percent, and HPLC. A UV “total ginsenosides” number often reads high.

10% and 80% change both cost and fill. Species goes on the label.

Bitter at high assay. A root powder drinks differently from an 80% extract.

Order the powder grade on purpose. It will not carry an 80% COA.

10% and 80% ginsenosides are different tablets. Species stays on the label either way.

Do not hide American ginseng under an Asian ginseng name, or the reverse.

Root powder is a food ingredient. It will not carry an 80% ginsenoside COA.

Prefer HPLC. UV totals are easy to inflate.
